Eidolon is a dark story taking place in Mirage City, sprawling with neon lights that mask the shadows of corruption and secrecy. Amidst this chaos, Rei’s journey unveils the complex layers of power, identity and survival.

Inspiration
The story is deeply inspired by the Cyber Punk genre, but to avoid complex interrelations between that detailed world, and the story of Eidolon, Mirage City, the dystopien world and general setting is a separate universe – still laced with a lot of inspiration and references to Cyber Punk.
Artificial INtelligence
The technological part of the story, spoiler alert, is partially about Artificial Intelligence. In a meta way, the story development is also a study in using AI creatively.
All images and videos are generated with AI. Regarding writing, AI has been used to generate scene templates, but all texts have been heavily reworked, edited and prompted with care for the original storyline.
As a writer, the blank page issue has often big my biggest hurdle. I find AI useful in generating bad templates that make my own preferences and ideas that much clearer. Also, there is a fun ‘method-acting sensation’ to writing a dystopian story about AI, using AI.
